Salaries for Event Managers, How Do You Compare?

Are they paid enough for the revenue they create?  You judge. Our question is, are event managers compensated enough for their contribution to sales for the events they create and manage.  We decided to review the current figures from three on-line providers:  Payscale, Indeed.com and GlassDoor.  Of course, the figures are median averages.  Some have salaries as high as $108,000 per year, some much lower, as in other industries, this position is often a step to higher positions in the marketing hierarchy.  Payscale also showed other forms of compensation which are important in an accurate comparison.  “The people that manage events and trade shows, users conferences and road shows, are creating qualified leads and revenue that salespeople count on to make forecast.
